Connie Montana.

This inspiring individual helps support our mission to provide financial know-how to families and communities locally and nationally.

Connie Montana was struck by the hunger of the young audience and their desire to learn more about finances and how it would impact their futures during her first training session as a proud Better Money Habits® Champion. Since then, Connie’s role as a Champion has been about reaching and teaching.

In the sessions she runs, Connie often shares some of her go-to financial tips like paying yourself first, considering opportunity costs in all decisions, calculating how many hours you have to work to buy the things you want, and taking the time to map out your money to your goals.

Since everyone takes a unique path and goes different places in life, the most challenging thing for Connie while teaching people about finances is making it interesting and relevant for them on a personal level. That’s why she encourages fellow trainers to be curious students of Better Money Habits themselves.

Connie continues to draw inspiration from Better Money Habits because it offers free, easy-to-understand financial education for everyone.

And in taking these lessons forward, Connie finds great reward as a Better Money Habits Champion in watching the eyes of her audience widen as they realize that they can not only find a path to a better financial future, but also a better quality of life.
